Home Visits

Doctor's bag

An emergency home visit will be arranged for patients who have a clinical emergency and are truly housebound.  A member of the home visiting team or a doctor may visit you or you may be referred to the ambulance.

Home visits for those patients who are not housebound will be undertaken according to the clinical condition of the patient.  In all other cases please make arrangements to attend the surgery.

Simple transport problems are not a reason for a home visit.

So that we can plan our visits in priority, please make your request for a home visit before 10.30am.

You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
